Turkey Creek Water Park sits five miles southwest of Decatur, just off Highway 15 in Newton County. Open year-round, its 250-acre lake is known as one of the most popular water-skiing spots in the area, with solid bass fishing and boat rentals to match.
On shore you'll find a white sand swimming beach, picnic areas, a playground, and lakeside campsites, plus A-Frame cabins, a bungalow, and a Lodge Hall for group events. Hiking and biking trails wind through the woods, where wildflowers, deer, squirrels, ducks, and wild turkeys are common sights.
